JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Member Services Manager, the Member Engagement Coordinator will coordinate the execution of projects and programs that provide support and services to member organizations and projects that increase member engagement and develop CEN's operational processes.

CEN's Member Services team has broad responsibility for vital areas of the CEN operation. Primarily in service to CEN's 700+ members (customers), the Member Services (MS) team is accountable for:

  • Member service requests
  • New member development, sales, and on-boarding
  • Marketing, communications, and publicity
  • Member engagement events, programs, and coordination of member advisory councils
  • CRM system development
  • Project management

The successful candidate will bring a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least four years’ experience in a role having demonstrated abilities to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, technology-based environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities and essential duties fall into the three broad categories below.

Member Events and Engagement Programming

  • Working with the MS team, coordinates the logistics of the annual Member Conference event including venue, logistics, schedule, budget, materials, sponsorships, and all other necessary resources.
  • Coordinates CEN's Engagement and Development Advisory Council, EDAC, to develop conference program and other professional development & training events.
  • Coordinates, plans, and executes member engagement projects to promote CEN products and services.
  • Coordinates meetings and activities for CEN's Service Management Advisory Council, SMAC, and Connecticut Higher Education Roundtable for Information Security.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and attends as needed conferences and events of member affiliate groups (e.g. CCM, CLA) to represent CEN.
  • Performs related work as required.

Marketing and Communications

  • Creates and executes promotional strategies and media materials to attract relevant audiences and generate engagement in CEN services and events.
  • Prepares member email communications and promotions.
  • Coordinates social media campaigns to build CEN's following.
  • Identifies and prepares CEN website updates and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with team to prepare CEN collateral marketing and promotional materials.
  • Coordinates the drafting of CEN reports.
  • May identify additional marketing and promotional platforms to build CEN brand.
  • Performs related work as required.

Operational Process Support

  • Provides direct support for the building and maintenance of member account databases.
  • Assists other MS team members in the preparation of quotes, bid responses, documentation, standard operating procedures (SOP), requisitions, projections, presentations, and reports.
  • Performs related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  2. At least four (4) years of related experience.
  3. Demonstrated written communication skills.
  4. Proven interpersonal and organizational skills.
  5. Experience working on creative materials, such as event or organization promotional materials, advertisements, websites, etc.
  6. Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects across multiple functional groups.
  7. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, and Google Docs.
  8. Demonstrated experience with social media platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Evidence of creative ability as demonstrated by a portfolio. Examples applicants may include promotional materials and advertisements they created, websites they developed or designed, and/or communications they've written.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of cyber infrastructure including network-based services.
  3. Demonstrated experience with CVENT, GTR or other event management platforms.
  4. Project management training and/or certifications.
  5. Demonstrated experience working in the Connecticut public sector, specifically municipalities, libraries, higher education, and/or K-12.
  6. Demonstrated experience with enterprise CRM systems.
  7. Demonstrated proficiency with WordPress and/or Drupal.
  8. Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud.
  9. Demonstrated experience planning and delivering large scale customer events.
  10. Demonstrated experience with Constant Contact or similar email marketing platform.

JOB SUMMARY

The University of Connecticut (UConn) Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a Systems Administrator 2 to support and coordinate system operations for the College of Engineering. This position is responsible for Windows and Linux server administration, PowerShell development, vulnerability management, and assisting faculty with technology needs. While the role reports to ITS, the Systems Administrator will split time between ITS and the College of Engineering, working closely with both teams to ensure reliable and secure IT services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain existing PowerShell code for Engineering services.
  • Manage both virtual and physical systems for the College of Engineering.
  • Support Office 365 automation services, including automatic creation of Teams sites, calendar management, and distribution lists.
  • Ensure strong security posture and system reliability for critical infrastructure and services.
  • Review existing services for potential centralization.
  • Documentation & Policy: Create and maintain technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and security policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with researchers, IT colleagues, and stakeholders across different teams to meet project objectives and resolve issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks or projects assigned to support the broader enterprise systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Education & Experience
    • Eight (8) years of directly related IT experience, OR
    • Associate’s degree in a relevant field plus six (6) years of related experience, OR
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus four (4) years of related experience.
  2. PowerShell: experience and ability to manage existing code and create new scripts as needed.
  3. Windows / Linux server: demonstrated ability to fully manage Windows and Linux servers from installation, upgrading, software installs, patching, and troubleshooting.
  4. Microsoft 365 Knowledge: experience with and understanding of services such as Teams, SharePoint, and Distribution lists.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of system design/analysis, application design/development.
  6. Demonstrated skill in critical thinking, problem-solving, and analysis.
  7. Demonstrated written communication and documentation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience with Data management and reporting.
  2. Proven knowledge of Microsoft SQL database management.
  3. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and repositories.
  4. Experience with RedHat Satellite or puppet.
  5. Knowledge of intermediate/advanced infrastructure and security topics including networking, firewalls, threat detection, configuration management, vulnerability analysis, and multifactor authentication.
  6. Experience with Ansible or Ansible Automation Platform.
  7. Higher Education Experience: Previous experience in a higher education IT environment.
